Be the person in the grocery store reading all of the labels and looking up the words you don't understand. And if you don't understand, The FDA recently posted about how to read nutritional labels here.

"EWG Healthy Living" app where they score foods from 1-10 on 3 concerns: nutrition concerns, ingredient concerns, and processing concerns. The screenshot below shows the webpage listing over 8,000 products and their rating on them.
